Gyrodyne means a rotorcraft whose rotors are normally engine-driven for takeoff, hovering, and landing, and for forward flight through part of its speed range, and whose means of propulsion, consisting usually of conventional propellers, is independent of the rotor system.
GyroCopter the term gyrocopter is a product name, created and owned by the Bensen Aircraft Company for their line of gyroplane designs. Although a product name specific to the Bensen models this term is commonly used incorrectly by the general public in reference to other makes and models of gyroplanes/autogyros.
Multicopter means a rotorcraft that employs a large number of rotors (more than 2) for flight and flight control.
