Wanted, world-wide PRA Regional Representatives
PRA is reaching out to its members to return to its grass roots nature and
provide more direct support, services, and promotional tools according to
specific regional needs, events, and requests.
Our Board of Directors knows that we can promote rotorcraft more efficiently
working together as a team, so we want you to participate in online board
meetings sharing your needs and become a voice for your region or country so we
know how we can actually help you achieve your goals.
If nothing else we can offer a "world wide organization" approaching
problems not just as one individual but with coordinated efforts or letters from
members and PRA officials and PRA can coordinate volunteer labor and resources
to the benefit of all, but only if we know what you need.
We are looking for one Regional Representative from each PRA Region to
participate in monthly Online BOD meetings and other functions. (See map below
for your region.)
The 1st step is to organize primary candidates and then have elections in your
country or region where all PRA members in your region or country are allowed to
vote for 1 representative.
Rules and Procedures:
1) Any PRA members in your region or country may be nominated and voted for as
Regional Representative.
2) A voting booth web-page will be created for each region or country we receive
a reply from.
3) 1st vote will be requesting PRA members that will serve and donate time for
more than just a monthly BOD online meeting. (See job description below)
4) Primary candidates may be any current PRA member.
5) Our staff of volunteers will help you contact the PRA members in your region
to ask for candidate volunteers.
6) The Candidates will be posted on the Rotary Wing or PRA's Forum (if available
in time) and we will help you email the candidate's info they provide as to what
will they do for you and why they are the best person for your region.
7) We hold the elections for the Regional Representatives.
8) The Regional Representatives will get to voice their needs and opinions at
the board meetings, but they will not get to vote.
Please run for this position and or help organize your region by discussing
these elections with the other Chapters in your region to elect your region's
representative.
Also please start discussing your local needs!
Not in a Chapter? Please join one.
No local chapter ? Please request forms from Dave Bacon to start a Chapter so
you can represent your country or region at monthly online PRA Board meetings.
Setting up inter chapter elections is going to take time, so we need to start
today. Speak with the best and brightest among you and ask them to volunteer as
a candidate for PRA Regional Representative.
Job Description -District Reprehensive
The Regional Representative's job description will consist of, but not limited
to:
1) Communicating with PRA Chapter coordinator, Dave Bacon.
2) Scheduling monthly online meetings with the other chapters in your region for
presentation at the PRA BOD meetings.
3) Conference call with the PRA board's monthly online meetings, providing your
opinions and needs.
4) Promote local fly-ins, dates, times and places, helping chapters with small
problems, and maybe help find authors to write for the PRA mag on what chapters
are doing ie; how builds are going, who is flying, how fly-ins went etc... I am
sure there is more, but I think that is the bulk of it. |
